About the Authors

S.D. Shanti, is a public health advocate who helps individuals, groups and organizations promote health, happiness and performance. She is the initiator of The Campaign to Stop Quiet Desperation, which aims to reduce poverty, illiteracy, violence, depression and inequality. She holds a DDS from Northwestern University, a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Vermont and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Harvard University. She lives in Palo Alto, CA and Ponte Tresa, Switzerland.

Suze Allen is a freelance writer, playwright and theatre artist who has performed on stages from Anchorage, Alaska to Edinburgh, Scotland. She teaches writing workshops to playwrights, women and mothers, and lives in San Francisco with her husband and children. Suze is the founder of Manuscript Mentor and Mama-logues.
